Philanthropy Since high school, I have always tried to maintain an active presence in my community. When I graduated high school in 2005, I received the Lieutenant Governor’s community volunteer award. At that time, I had spent a lot of time organizing events for my school and teaching poetry classes at my local youth centre. Since then, I have organized fundraisers for the Canadian Cancer Society, Children’s Aid Society, Sick Kids Hospital and local food banks. Furthermore, I am lucky enough to have been the recipient of several scholarships during my time at Queen's University and University of Toronto. As such, I definitely believe in the power of giving back to the community in any way possible! Some organizations I currently support include:
