Philanthropy
I have always tried to maintain an active role in my community. In the past, this has included teaching poetry classes at a local youth centre as well as volunteering with literacy support in local elementary schools. I have also organized fundraisers for the Canadian Cancer Society, Children’s Aid Society, Sick Kids Hospital and local food banks. Furthermore, I am lucky enough to have been the recipient of several scholarships during my time at Queen's University and the University of Toronto. As such, I definitely believe in the power of giving back to the community in any way possible because I know how it feels to receive that extra boost in support when it is
needed most! Some organizations I currently support include: |

As I’ve mentioned throughout this site, education is important to me. I used to try to run several educational seminars and/or webinars throughout the year to help people further develop their financial literacy skills. I’ve toned this down a bit over the course of the pandemic but am reviewing my strategies to best educate people going forward. Be sure to check my facebook page for the most recent information!
