I am a PhD graduate and former education professional with degrees in Spanish literature. Sometimes, I like to think that I am a little like Batman – financial advisor by day, literature fanatic by night. Okay, I am not fighting crime or using cool gadgets and vehicles, but I still have some pretty exciting adventures and it is my goal to help you do the same.
When I was growing up, I was always taught the importance of risk management and protecting yourself and your family given my parents’ professions – financial security advisor and military communications officer. Because of the significant roles of both education and community in my life, I always try to find ways to help educate people whenever possible. My goal when meeting with clients is to educate them in financial literacy and help them become more confident and savvy with their financial wellness.
I firmly believe that creating a successful financial plan with my client is a joint effort, requiring commitment, dedication and involvement on both ends. Like in the classroom, you need to be able to put the skills you are being taught into practice. Of course, I also understand that everyone learns differently and I make an effort to adapt my approach to the unique needs of the individual.
